About FinanceWith Ease

We build free calculators and guides for everyday money questions: what you’ll take home from a salary or an hourly wage, what a mortgage really costs and how your savings can grow. Each one is built on the official rules for its country.

Take-home pay depends on details that many calculators skip. We model them, so the number you see is close to the one on your payslip.

What we cover

Tax rules differ by country, and often by state or province, so every calculator is built for where you live. Here’s what goes into the numbers in each country.

How we get the numbers right

People use our calculators to plan real decisions, so accuracy comes first.

  1. Official sources first

Our figures come from the IRS and state revenue departments, the CRA and Revenu Québec, HMRC, the ATO, Ireland’s Revenue Commissioners and New Zealand’s Inland Revenue.

  2. One rulebook for every page

Each tax rule is entered once and shared by every page that uses it, so a calculator, a salary table and a tax-rate page can never disagree.

  3. Checked by hand

Before publishing a change, we work out sample salaries step by step from the official rules and compare them with our results.

  4. Updated every tax year

New rules go in as each tax year starts and whenever a law changes mid-year. When Georgia cut its rate in May 2026, back to January, we updated our figures to match.

Each calculator also lists what it leaves out, so you know when your situation may differ. Our methodology page lists the sources behind every data set and the date we checked it, and our editorial policy explains how we check and correct our work.
