The numbers you enter into our calculators are processed in your browser and are not sent to or stored on our servers. Calculator inputs may appear in the page address so you can bookmark or share a result.
To show the calculators for your country, our host Cloudflare works out which country you are in from your IP address. Only the country is used, and it is remembered in your browser along with any country you pick, so you can change it at any time from the country menu.
Analytics
We use two analytics services to understand which pages and calculators are used and to improve the site:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies and counts page visits.
- Google Analytics, which uses cookies to count visits and see how the site is used: which pages are read, which calculators are used, which links are followed and what is searched for on the site. It receives page addresses without the numbers you enter into calculators. Google keeps this data for 14 months. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
We may show ads from third parties such as Google. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses this information in Google's partner sites policy and opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings at any time.
Your consent choices in the EU, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before we or our advertising partners use cookies or your data for advertising, and before Google Analytics uses cookies. The message comes from Google's consent tool, which is certified for this purpose. You can accept, refuse, or choose which purposes and partners to allow. If you refuse, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalized, and Google Analytics won't use cookies.
You can change your choices at any time using the privacy and cookie settings link that appears on the page.
Your privacy choices in the US
If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. Use the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link that appears on the page. After you opt out, you may still see ads, but they won't be based on your data.
What we store in your browser
To remember your settings, we keep a few small items in your browser's local storage: the country you chose or were shown, light or dark mode, and the pages you recently opened from search. They stay on your device, aren't sent to us, and aren't used for advertising. Clearing your browser data removes them.
