How the calculator works
- Full pension: $1,237.70 a fortnight for a single person, or $933.00 each for a couple, from 20 September 2026.
- Income test: your deemed income from savings, plus earnings over the $300 Work Bonus and other income. Above the free area, the pension falls by 50c a dollar.
- Assets test: your savings and other assets, not your home. Above the limit, the pension falls by $3 a fortnight for each $1,000.
- Your pension: the full pension less whichever test takes off more.
